SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and here there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service here position established for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to allow the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
